Dell VV0NF battery disassembly.
This is battery for Dell Latitude E5440 laptop. I've got for free (uknown condition), unfortunately it seems to be mechanically incompatible with battery for E6440 I own (N3X1D). This is real shame, as they have almost identical dimensions and same electric connector in the same location - just plastic shell is slightly different.
Here are few photos from disassembly, including latches location.
Back of the shell is flexible and relatively easy to pry.
Moving to the front.
Cells are clued to the bottom with double sided tape.
BQ8050-D1 controller
Thermistor clued to the cell in the middle.
Despite trying to be careful I've damaged one capacitor on the PCB.
Unfortunately battery doesn't seem to be recognized by E6440 - I don't know if is faulty or if it is by design.
